TROGIR & THE ADRIATIC RIVIERA
Nestled in central Dalmatia on the stunning Adriatic Riviera, the small town of Trogir is a Croatian gem just 20 kilometers from Split. This UNESCO World Heritage Site invites you to lose yourself in
its narrow, winding alleyways, where the craftsmanship of medieval masters comes alive at every turn. With a history spanning ancient times, Trogir was once one of the Adriatic’s most vital trading ports, and its cultural and historical layers remain beautifully preserved today.
UNESCO describes Trogir as an extraordinary example of a medieval town built on the foundations of Hellenistic and Roman settlements. Its urban layout has remained remarkably intact, with only minimal modern interventions. The city’s streets are a living tapestry of centuries old history, adorned by rulers over the ages with elegant palaces, fortifications, and grand public buildings. Trogir is home to exquisite Romanesque churches, seamlessly complemented by Renaissance and Baroque architecture from the Venetian era - all packed into a charming area of just six hectares.
But Trogir isn’t just about history - it offers plenty of modern-day delights, too. Just beyond the old town, you’ll find beautiful beaches on the Ciovo peninsula and nearby islands, perfect for soaking up the Mediterranean sun. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are also scenic hiking trails, offering an ideal balance of activity and relaxation.
Combine a peaceful afternoon by the sea with a delicious dinner back in town, where the atmosphere is truly one of a kind.
Film buffs may recognize Trogir from the famous “Winnetou” movies. Much of this classic series was filmed in Croatia, and Trogir itself transformed into an American Western town for the spectacle. Old Shatterhand even rode in front of the cathedral, with American flags adorning the town hall - a playful reminder of the town’s versatility as a backdrop.
Beyond its undeniable charm, Trogir is also an excellent starting point for broader adventures.
Located just three bus stops from Split Airport, it’s a gateway to exploring Croatia and neighboring countries like Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Albania. Whether you prefer a self-guided motorbike tour or a fully organized and guided experience, you can tailor your journey to last from one day to several.
Trogir is more than just a picturesque holiday spot - it’s a treasure trove of history, culture, and opportunity for exploration.
Come and see for yourself.
Your unforgettable adventure awaits!

Hello, my name is Frank, I was born and raised in Germany and have the organisation and reliability so typical of us Germans.
I have years of experience on racetracks all over Europe, like Czech Republic, Spain, Germany and Italy. I know my way around the circuits in Brno, Most, Valencia, Cartagena, Almeria, Hockenheim, Lausitzring and the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Misano and Mugello in Italy and, last but not least, the racetracks in New Zealand, such as Hampton Downs, Taupo, Manfeild and, of course, Whanganui, I have experienced all of this myself and am able to give you lots of tips on how to ride a motorbike properly.
I myself have lived abroad for many years, for example in New Zealand, Panama, Colombia and now Croatia. We have travelled through all of these countries by motorbike, so I can also give a lot of tips for motorbike tours in foreign countries.
In short, we always have an open ear when it comes to motorcycling.
